Proteus rider Chris Mattingly gets big props for cracking the top 10 this week at Capital Cross Classic out in Reston. Chris finished with a sweet 10th place finish in wicked cold weather in a huge field of something like 90 guys in the end of the season finale.

Thank you, Tom! To be honest, I had no idea I was anywhere close to the front. After last year's performance at this race (multiple spill-related mechanicals resulting in a DNF before I even finished the first lap), my only focus was on finishing the entire course. I was very happy even without the tenth place finish.
